The Kansas City Ledger is a structured directory of B2B and home service companies operating in the Kansas City metro. Our goal is simple: make it easy to find, scan, and reference the businesses that serve the KC area.
Unlike general search engines, KC Ledger provides tight, organized lists so you can quickly filter through a larger selection of companies without clicking through pages of individual results.

Data Quality & Methodology
We have a number of policies in place to maximize the value of this resource for local, KC users.
KC Ledger lists genuine KC-based business. We screen each listing to ensure the site lists companies headquartered in the Kansas City metro, and not national brands with a local office or service area.
No pay-to-play. Lists and ranking aren't influenced by advertising or paid placement.
We monitor listed companies on an ongoing basis to ensure listed companies are active and in business. Listings with inactive websites or other signs of closure are flagged for review and removal. We also screen for spam listings and websites that misrepresent their purpose or services.
Each company appears once in the directory, even if they operate multiple locations or appear across different search queries.
How To Add or Claim Your Company
To ensure your company list listed on The Kansas City Ledger, follow these steps.
Create an account or log in to your existing account.
On the dashboard do a search for your company name.
If your company appears, click claim it. Your claim goes into a queue. Once it's approved, you'll be able to edit your information.
If you don't see your company when you search, click Add Company. Then fill in the form and save. A representative will review the information. Once your company is approved, you'll be able to edit your company details.
Listing Requirements
Listed below are the requirements for getting your company listed on The Kansas City Ledger.
Your company headquarters must be located in the Kansas City DMA (Counties: Jackson, Clay, Platte, Cass, Ray, Lafayette, Johnson, Wyandotte, Leavenworth, Miami, Douglas)
Your company’s primary industry must align with one of the industries currently published on The Ledger. Additional categories may be considered in future updates. Feel free to contact us about specific industries you feel should be added to the site.
You must be an authorized representative or owner of the company to submit or claim a listing.
All submissions are subject to editorial review to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment.
